When you do a Search on the Boston College Alumni Directory for grads in PR, this response pops up:765 listing(s) found matching your search criteria. 340 which is(are) not viewable because the owner(s) elected to hide either all or part of their listing from view. Displaying 425 listings.

765 Puerto Ricans have graduated from BC since 1950...2 of those grads still live in San Juan. My father is one of them. I have undertaken the tasks of setting up a Facebook group called Boston College Alumni PR. So far, 112 have enthusiastically responded. The biggest challenge is to persuade folks that it is safe to be on Facebook. In the 2 weeks that it has been up and running, the positive feedback has been really encouraging. Old friends getting in touch again, renewing bonds that life had put on hold.

A survey was distributed asking questions to get a feel what the alumni expect from an Alumni Group. As soon as I receive an adequate sample, I will post the results.
